The teeth whitening process

Step 1: Consultation
We will discuss your expectations of treatment and what to expect from treatment. We will outline your suitability for treatment; you may not be suitable if you have had composite bonding, as composite resin is resistant to whitening gel.

Step 2: Impression taking
Digital dental impressions of your teeth are taken to obtain a mould of your teeth. This is sent away to the lab, where your whitening trays are made.

Step 3: The whitening process begins
The lab will send your whitening trays back approximately 2 weeks later. This is when you can begin using the whitening gel from home for up to an hour each day.

Step 4: Maintaining your white tooth shade
Keep your teeth looking white by topping up every 12 months. Your dentist can supply you with whitening gel at your routine dentist appointments.
